“We should not live for ourselves alone, but for the joy in doing good for others.’’
– Arch Klumph, 1929

Rotary invites donors to create a lasting legacy by supporting The Rotary Foundation’s Endowment, ensuring future generations can continue making a global impact through life-changing service projects.

In 1917, Rotary President Arch Klumph proposed establishing an endowment “for the purpose of doing good in the world.” More than a century later, his legacy continues to make an impact through member-led service projects funded by donations to The Rotary Foundation’s Endowment.

How can your legacy change the world?

On International Legacy Giving Day, 13 September, we invite donors like you to help Rotary create lasting change for the next century. Together, we can continue making a difference in your community and around the world by ensuring that future Rotary members have the resources to support life-changing projects.

By giving to The Rotary Foundation (Canada), you’re investing in a future where:

🩺Every child has a chance to grow up free from diseases like polio
💧Families have reliable access to clean water, nourishing food, and essential medical care
📗Education and literacy enable people to reach their full potential

You can support this important work in many ways, from including the Endowment in your will or estate plan to naming The Rotary Foundation as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement asset.* If you are ready to expand your giving, contact Carolyn Ferguson (Carolyn.Ferguson@rotary.org) on our philanthropy team. Or if you’ve already included Rotary in your will or estate plan, please let us know so we can honour your legacy in the way that is most meaningful to you.

Your legacy is a powerful gift.

It carries your compassion forward and brings hope where it is needed most — Doing Good in the World for generations to come. Thank you for considering this extraordinary way to create your Rotary legacy.
